Port Stephens Cycleways
Port Stephens is great for cyclists and bike riders from serious mountain bikers right through to families who enjoy a safe and scenic bike ride. A Port Stephens bike ride offers amazing views and very little traffic (after all we only have single lane roads and only one set of traffic lights).
Port Stephens has designated cycleways that provide safe cycling around the peninsula. These cycleways can take you from Salamander Bay right through to Fingal Bay... with some spectacular waterviews as you pass from Bagnalls Beach to Dutchies Beach to Nelson Bay, some shaded riding through bush and reserves from Shoal Bay to Fingal Bay and plenty of parks, playgrounds and cafes along the way.

Tomaree National Park covers over 20 kilometres of coastline and offers coastal bushland, sand dunes, heathland, forest and rocky outcrops. Tomaree National Park is popular with mountain bike riders, with a number of trails of varying difficulty and challenges between Anna Bay and Fingal Bay.

Why not book a guided scenic or mountain bike tour (great for beginners right through to those wishing to improve their skills)? Bring your own bike or they can supply one. Click here for more information on Port Stephens Mountain Bike Adventures.
And, if you don't want to bring your own bikes then why not hire some? Shoal Bay Bike Hire can hire you a range of bikes for an hour through to a week and beyond. Contact them on 02 4981 4121.
