Located at the most western tip of the Tomaree Peninsula, Soldiers Point is almost entirely surrounded by the port making it a popular location for fishing and boating. Soldiers Point Marina just 200m away offers state-of-the-art mooring facilities and two fine dining restaurants plus cafes. Opposite the Unit is a public park with a playground and tennis courts, which are available for hire all year round. The newly opened exclusive Rick Stein Restaurant at the Bannisters Resort is just 1.4km's away and opposite Bannisters is the Soldiers Point Bowling Club which offers more affordable meals. Little salamander shops is only 2.7km's and for more selection visit the Salamander Shopping Centre which is just 7km away and Nelson Bay is 11km from the unit.
The Unit - This absolute waterfront two bedroom unit is located on the ground floor. The unit offers a reserve front area which leads onto the water's edge and with outstanding water views. There is nothing but the ocean and headlands to interfere. Offering modern fresh furnishings and tiled open plan living area with large flat screen TV and ceiling fan, a dining table with six chairs and a neat and tidy fully equipped kitchen providing a stove top, oven, microwave and fridge/freezer. The open plan living flows through to the undercover waterfront al fresco area providing a table and chairs to enjoy the magnificent views. The main bedroom offers a queen sized bed and ceiling fan while the other bedroom offers a bunk bed. Enjoy the breathtaking vista from every room! The modern bathroom provides both a shower and a bath and the Internal laundry offers a washer and dryer plus ironing facilities. Also featuring with the unit is a single lock up garage.

The unit was not clean (the coffee table still had the sticky ring marks from soft drinks from last guest), & there was a foul smell in the lounge room and main bedroom. The area was nice, and the locals were lovely.

Break away
Great location, walk to marina cafe and restaurant and great outlook. There was a few maintenance issues that needed addressing eg leaking taps. There was an odd smell in the main bedroom and the cleaners had not cleaned thoroughly eg cotton buds left in bedroom on floor. Although a great spot the unit and building were looking very tired .

Maintenance needed
I wish to bring to your attention several issues that need to be look at before the next holiday maker comes in.
1) The water basin in the toilet leaks, thus constantly leaving a pool of water on the floor. This is a slipping hazard as my family and I have experienced. It is also not a nice thing to step into in the middle of the night.
2) The kitchen tap and spout leaks when the tap is turned on.
3) The turntable in the microwave doesn’t turn, thus forcing us to reposition the food to be heated every 10 seconds. Extremely inconvenient when we ate in on Saturday night.
4) The stopper on the door for the toilet was lying on the ground. No big deal but we certainly didn’t break it.
5) The door to the laundry has swelled up, thus not allowing the door to be closed to block out the noise of the washing machine.
I don’t normally take the time to write an email like this and would prefer to push on with my weekend away but I feel it is important for the sake of your next guests. Hope to hear a favorable response to this. Other than the above issues, the location was great and my family and I really enjoyed being next to the water.

Fantastic location.
Great spot for a family with easy beach access. Great for kids to paddle or kayak. We equipped unit with good amenities. Could do with A/C and a BBQ, otherwise a great unit. We'll be back!!

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your accommodation the following applies -
1. Bookings cancelled at least 90 days prior to “Guest” arrival date is refundable less a cancellation fee of $100.00.
2. Booking cancelled less than 90 days from “Guest” arrival date are non refundable but the following does apply –
i) if any guest has booked direct with Alloggio Holidays, and request a refund for a booking arrival date inside 90 days, we do not refund but can transfer booking dates or if guests are uncertain of dates we will provide them with an Alloggio Holiday gift voucher to the value of their “Rent” component of the booking.
ii) our fees will be retained however when the guest does utilise the gift voucher the value of rent will be towards whatever the cost of their new booking value is. There will be no booking fees charged on gift voucher bookings as we have already retained the fees.
iii) The voucher will be valid for booking stay dates within three years from date of issue and may be used on any of our Holiday Properties depending on availability.
3. If you shorten your stay, the unused portion of your rental is not refundable.
4. Any Bookings made via an OTA, for example, Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider will be subject to the OTA Terms and Conditions.If you cancel any booking made through Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider you may be required to pay further fees to those providers pursuant to their cancellation policy.
5. Any costs imposed by any other provider are in addition to any costs imposed by Alloggio Management.
