The Location - Shoal haven is located at the Western end of Shoal Bay Beach, just walk across the grass and you are on the beach. It is also only 500 metres from family friendly Little Beach for calm water swimming, picnics and BBQ's and just one kilometre (or a walk up the beach) to Shoal Bay's shops, cafes and restaurants. Plus five minutes drive into Nelson Bay.
The Unit - This third floor unit offers panoramic views across the Harbour from the balcony and living area. The living area is open plan with a flat screen TV and DVD player, a dining area and a full kitchen with a cook top, oven, microwave and dishwasher. Two bedrooms (queen bed and two single beds), both with ceiling fans, a bathroom with a shower (no bath) and an internal laundry with a washer (no dryer). Undercover parking is available for two small cars.
There are definitely smoke alarms at this property.

Spectacular View
Overall what a great experience! The view from our rental was absolutely beautiful. Best view in Nelson Bay for half the price of other rentals. The check-in and check-out process was very easy. The cleanliness of the rental was good, could do with an upgrade of furniture and technology. I have to say I’ve stayed in Nelson Bay many times but this rental was the best by far. I will be staying here every time I came to Nelson Bay. Thank you��

Great location average accommodation
I’ve stayed in this building many times. This unit like the others in the block had wonderful views of the Bay. But it was poorly appointed. Minimal kitchen equipment and appliances, missing items, very old bed in the main bedroom. Also no block out curtains with the orange fairly sheer curtains, so that at 5.30am the main bedroom was flooded with orange light! At almost $300 a night on the off-peak season this was very expensive.

Great location and view
The view is beautiful, very private and quite. The apartment is very old and in need of a renovation. No hot water and bit dusty.

Great Location
This Unit is situated in the best location with stunning views.
The Unit is quite dated but the location certainly makes up for it! Awesome being able to listen to the waves at night and have great views from lying in bed, sitting on the lounge or having a cuppa on the balcony.
Beautiful Lorikeets visited us on the balcony & large bunnies were seen in the evening on the grass outside the Unit.
Within 5 minutes drive of Nelson Bay main town centre and only a 10 minute walk down the beach to Shoal Bay village.
The only issue was the bed linen..... there was unfortunately a 'sweaty body' linen smell in the main bedroom. We were supplied with clean linen ($28 cost) however the pillows, mattress protector, quilt cover etc was in need of a good hot water wash. We actually went & purchased new pillows due to the extent of the issue.
I have given feedback to the Company who manages the Unit so hopefully this will be sorted out for future guests.
I would definitely stay there again (providing Linen issue sorted) just for the location, view etc.
