WHAT'S ON IN PORT STEPHENS?

With a vibrant and welcoming community, these events are eagerly awaited by locals and visitors alike. The event calendar includes some of the largest fishing events in the southern hemisphere through to smaller community based events such as the artisan markets. There really is something to suit everyone.

Brickfest at The Bay A Lego Fan Event

There are exhibitors from across the Hunter, Central Coast and Sydney plus local exhibitors coming to display their creations for you to enjoy.

Port Stephens Triathlon Festival

Just a quick trip up the coast from Sydney, Port Stephens offers athletes a brilliant weekend destination and the bonus of a completely closed bike course. Get ready for some great racing action with Standard, Sprint and Super Sprint events.

Tomaree Markets

Sunday 13th August 2023 – Sunday 26th May 2024
Shoal Bay Road, Nelson Bay
The Tomaree Markets are held every second and fourth Sunday of the month at Neil Carroll Park, Fly Point, Nelson Bay. They are a community market with craft, food products, designer items, live music and much more. From jewellery to local artists, olive oils to creative types: Tomaree Markets has it all.
Come and enjoy the fun. Free off street parking in the many car parks.

TreX Cross Triathlon Series | Port Stephens

TreX Port Stephens is based in beautiful Fingal Bay and Tomaree National Park. The area boasts some of Australia’s most spectacular beaches and scenic, rugged coastlines and provides the perfect backdrop for a weekend of off road action. TreX is coupled with Trail Run Australia Tomaree on Sunday which includes events for all comers so you can spend the entire weekend experiencing this stunning Australian beach front destination.
TreX Port Stephens features a sea swim in beautiful Fingal bay followed by a Euro-style mountain bike course in Tomaree national park and a spectacular trail run along scenic coastal paths, where whales and dolphins abound. This course has established itself as a true gem of the TreX Series.
Choose the event that’s right for you with Triathlon, AquaBike and Duathlon options, then choose your distance. With Standard, Sprint, Junior, Teaser and Dirt Kids courses there’s something for everyone no matter what your age, fitness level or ability
The Port Stephens Dirt Master and Dirt Mistress Challenge includes a combination of both events across the two days in the Dirt Master, Mini Dirt Master or Junior Dirt Dude Challenge.

Trail Run Australia | Tomaree

The Tomaree Trail Run Festival is hosted in conjunction with the TreX Cross Triathlon Series which together make up an action packed weekend of off road events for the entire family.
Taking in some of the most spectacular coastal, beach and bushland trails this trail run festival is set to delight, challenge and inspire trail runners of all ages and abilities.
Based in Fingal Bay the courses challenge runners with a diverse array of terrain and scenery, from the beauty of Tomaree National Park, to the expansive coastal views from the Tomaree coastal trail, to the challenge of the Samurai Dunes, to the rocky coastline, to the awe inspiring white sandy beaches of Fingal Bay. This course offers every type of trail run experience in the one spectacular and iconic location.
So whether you’re a hardcore trail runner, a weekend warrior, someone who just loves getting in to the outdoors, or a family and kids, there’s something for everyone.

Sail Port Stephens

Nelson Bay
An annual yachting regatta held in the waterways of Port Stephens Marine Park, with the regatta centre hosted at d’Albora Marina, Nelson Bay.
The regatta not only offers great sailing opportunities for several classes of boats but also a great social atmosphere that is family friendly.
